What's in it for the artists?

By giving back control of the industry to the Musicians MOMLabel provides an alternative to the traditional record label. It is a platform that empowers artists to record their next album funded by their fans. The fundamental difference is that instead of the label limiting which artists get funded and limiting the flow to others, it is the artists who can generate the buzz and reap the reward through fan support. This will give the artist maximum flexibility and control over their music projects with guidance of the music professionals who work for MOMLabel.

How does it work?

Artists upload their music and profile to the MOML website. Music lovers find artists they like and believe in. For a $10 to $1,000 contribution the fans get a vested interest in the artist as an investor. When the artist’s reach $100,000 in investor funding, the artist now has the means to record an album in a professional studio, produce a video and MOMLabel starts the promotion with a core of producers, video editors, and IT department. Fans will get exclusive products sent to their home.

What's in it for the investors?

The purpose of MOMLabel is to create a way for artist to raise a threshold amount of money to fund a future music project.

Funds will be used for:

A: Music Recording / Creation of a promotional video

B: Promotion Marketing / Publicity

C: Live Concerts / Touring / Festivals

MOMLabel acts as the facilitator between artists and their investors and as an administrator of the invested funds. As soon as the Goal of fund raising has been reached, MOMLabel will transfer the funds from the escrow to be used for developing the artist’s project. Fully 80% will go directly to project costs and marketing, and 20% will be used for administering the project and funding the artist’s promotion. MOMLabel will not transfer any money of the goal to the artist directly, but will pay via approved invoices in order to complete the project.

As an investor you will have

(1)  access to the investor Dashboard (personal page on MOMLabel) and a profile page on the website and all the contents of the website in compliance of the terms and conditions of use. An overview of all the revenues of your project will be available on the investor Dashboard page.

(2)  be provided with a username and password for your exclusive access.

(3)  distribution of income for the lifetime of the project up to three years credited to you every three months.

(4)  Ability to terminate your agreement at any time with an 80% (20% management fees) repayment of investment  before the artist has reached the goal.
